Character: Mighty the Armadillo

Version: SEGA; right after Heroes

Personality: Mighty is a softhearted pacifist who detests violence. He will fight if necessary, and especially if his loved ones are threatened, but usually prefers to find non-violent methods. Mighty has a very mild, agreeable and easy-going personality, and an ideal person to be shoulder-to-cry-on.

Although he's somewhat quiet and a bit of a bookworm, he's very friendly and loves to meet new people. He's also naive, seeing the world through rose-coloured glasses, seeing good in everyone, always looking for the best in others, and so on, and so forth. He's a gentleman of sorts, more knowledgeable in the field of women than you'd expect him to be, and is hard to anger (outside of threatening/hurting his friends)

He can't control his strength all that well. He is therefore deeply afraid of himself and his own abilities, and is especially scared of getting angry. For this reason, he often bottles everything up, which actually makes it worse, because when he does this he reaches a point where he explodes and the results are not pretty.

He and his past are a little bit of an enigma, and despite his peaceable and friendly nature, he tends to hold everyone at arm's length, fearing that they'll get hurt. If someone tries to breach this distance, it's likely that he'll get uncharacteristically cold and distant.

He loves traveling more than anything, doing so on a regular basis. He starts to get very restless if he stays in once place for too long.

History: Not much is known about his past before he came to know Sonic the Hedgehog. He's a traveler by nature, and loves to visit many places. His travels caused him to meet up with Sonic the Hedgehog and Ray the Flying Squirrel, when all three of them were captured by Doctor Robotnik and imprisoned in Eggmanland. The three became fast friends and worked together to escape. They had a few more adventures together, but parted ways. Mighty took up traveling again, venturing around the world.

Eventually he met up with the Chaotix, getting involved in Doctor Robotnik's plan by wrong-place-wrong-time. Regardless, he was happy enough to help out, and befriended the Chaotix. He took to Knuckles most - even looking up to him, admiring his dedication and wanting to know him better, despite his anti-socialness. Mighty, along with the other newly christened Chaotix, (Vector, Espio, Charmy) were freed from the Combi Catcher, took down Metal Sonic and Dr. Eggman.

Even after they did, the Chaotix stuck together, going as far as to start a detective agency. Mighty handled several cases with them, but as they got more and more interested in money, he felt increasingly uncomfortable. And then there was his traveler nature that called out to him - causing him to bid them goodbye for now and head on his way.
